Ready, Set, Submit: Crafting Effective Conference Proposals
Need help crafting your proposal for the SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC) or Fredonia's OSCAR Expo? Look no further!!! At this in-person workshop, students will get support to write successful proposals to submit for professional conferences (specifically SURC and the OSCAR Expo). Interested in presenting at a professional conference? Learn to write a clear and professional abstract for the application/submission process. Staff/Faculty will provide small-group and individual support specific to your discipline and goal. Location for each workshop: Reed Library Classroom (in Carnahan Jackson Center).

SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC) 2025
- Monday, April 28, 2025 – Binghamton University
- The SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC) is a multidisciplinary spring semester event. SURC brings together undergraduate students and faculty mentors from across the SUNY system for a full day of activities, including sessions devoted to student presentations (oral, performance, artistic displays, and poster), luncheon, keynote speakers, a SUNY Graduate School and Career Fair, and professional development workshops for students and faculty. SURC is supported by the Offices of the Chancellor, Provost, and Research Foundation, as well as SUNY student and faculty governance organizations. All undergraduate students engaged in research and their mentors across SUNY are invited to attend.

- Registration opens on January 13 and closes April 4, 2025

2025 Student Research & Creativity Exposition
- Thursday, May 1, 2025
- Roger Firestien has presented programs on innovation to over 600 organizations around the world including Fortune 500 corporations, government agencies, universities, associations and churches. In addition, he has written seven books and hundreds of articles on the creative process.
- Dr. Firestien is Associate Professor Emeritus at the Center for Applied Imagination at Buffalo State University, President of Innovation Resources, Inc. a founding member of the Buffalo Society for Creativity in Medical Education and guest lectures at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, NY.
