The B.A./M.A. in English Adolescence Education multi-award program allows you to earn both your B.A. and M.A. in English Adolescence Education in 5 years, rather than the 6 years required for traditional B.A. and M.A. programs. This program offers a solid content background in English, a wide range of courses focused on teaching secondary English, over 100 hours of field experiences in secondary schools, and a graduate-level student teaching experience. This multi-award degree will also save you time and money, including a year of graduate tuition and other related expenses. The program leads to initial 7-12 certification and eligibility for professional certification (after meeting New York State requirements for classroom teaching experience following completion of the program). Upon graduation from this clinically-rich combined B.A./M.A., you will be fully prepared to teach in the secondary schools.
The 海角社区 is committed to doing our part to provide each student a clear path to graduation. This four-year degree plan is a sample map for fulfilling requirements in the major, the Fredonia Foundations (FF), and other supporting courses. The pathway that you take to your degree may differ somewhat from this illustration, depending on where you start and the detours and side trips you may take along the way. If you are committed to completing your degree in four years, we encourage you to consider signing up for the Fredonia in 4 program.
