鈥淏ecoming a Student-Ready College: Our Collective Responsibility鈥 is the title of the 9 a.m. keynote address to be delivered by Tia Brown McNair, vice president of the Office for Diversity, Equity and Student Success at the Association of American Colleges & Universities in Washington, D.C. To prepare for Dr. McNair鈥檚 visit, faculty and staff were invited to discuss her recently published book, 鈥淏ecoming a Student-Ready College: A New Culture of Leadership for Student Success.鈥

McNair will also lead a breakout session for faculty and staff from 10:30 to noon and a student question-and-answer gathering from 2 to 3 p.m.

Attendance at Professional Development Day events is free.

Support for McNair鈥檚 visit has been provided by the Conversations About the Future of College series, sponsored by the Office of the Provost.

Further information about Professional Development Day sessions will be made available on the Faculty and Staff listserv as they become available and also on the PDC website: /pdc/pddays.
