Contemporary environmental issues will be the focus of a film series sponsored throughout April by the Earth Week Planning Committee and the American Studies Program at SUNY Fredonia. There is no admission charge to any of the screenings.
The seven films, with their respective dates, times and locations, are as follows:
鈥The Story of Stuff" and "Exporting Harm: The High-Tech Trashing of Asia:" -- Wednesday, April 9, 7:30 p.m., G-24, McEwen. Dr. Jack Berkley, professor of Geosciences, will introduce the films.
鈥淭he End of Suburbia鈥 鈥 Wednesday, April 16, 7:30 p.m., G-24 McEwen. Dr. Berkley will introduce the film.
鈥淐rude Awakening鈥 鈥 Monday, April 21, 6:30 p.m., 101 Jewett Hall. Dr. Sherri Mason, associate professor of Chemistry and Environmental Science, will introduce the film.
鈥淲orld in the Balance: The Population Paradox鈥 鈥 Tuesday, April 22, 4 p.m., S-104 Williams Center. Alyssa Brooke-Gay, president, Women鈥檚 Student Union, will introduce the film.
鈥淭he Corporation鈥 鈥 Wednesday, April 23, 7:30 p.m., Multipurpose Room, Williams Center. Jessamine Daly-Griffen, founding member, Starting Small Project, will introduce the film.
鈥淔ast Food Nation鈥 鈥 Wednesday, April 30, 7:30 p.m., G-24 McEwen. Dr. David Kinkela, professor of History, will introduce the film.
