The Department of Geology and Environmental Sciences recently held its annual awards recognition ceremony.
Scholarship and award recipients were given certificates. The scholarships and awards were endowed through the Fredonia College Foundation. They included:
- Roy Angus MacDiarmid Award: Shelby Haber and Rachel Echevarria
- Paul D. Willette Award: Mayc Kelley
- Geoscience Alumni Scholarship and Grant: Audrianna Sutton and Shaun Sanders
- Walther M. Barnard Scholarship: Nicky Flores, Michael Matthews, Ben Oliver and Jasper Bateman
- Mark and April Hoefner Orgren Scholarship: Cody Perez, Nick Boggio and Roman Ruocco
- Susan J. Mara Scholarship: Bea Roof, Emma Steffenhagen, Syd Lamberton and Skyela Banse-Fay
- David and Carol Larson Field Camp Endowment: Shawna John
- Gary and Eileen Lash Award: Ashlyn Ambrose
- Michael P. Wilson Award for Temporal Studies: Emma Johnson and Sam Post
- Michael P. Wilson Award for Spatial Studies: J. Weston Hepler
- Florence M. Eikenburg Award: Deanna Jolley
- Robert K. Fahnstock Memorial: Cece Young and Colin McKee
- Dr. Robert Maytum Sr. Scholarship: Mia Enders
A non-departmental prize not funded through the foundation was from the Mineralogical Society of America Prize to Nicky Flores and Ms. Enders. They received a book as well as a membership to the society.
Attendees included parents of the award recipients.
