

The College Symphony Orchestra will take the stage with pianist and School of Music Concerto Competition winner Mario Qing Fei Chai.
The free concert is slated for Saturday, Oct. 19, during Homecoming weekend, at 8 p.m. in Harry A. King Concert Hall.
The program, to be conducted by Dr. Emily Schaad, will feature Prokofiev鈥檚 鈥淟ieutenant Kij茅 Suite,鈥 originally composed in 1933 as a film soundtrack, and the turbulent 鈥淭ragic Overture鈥 by Brahms.
Chai will perform Liszt鈥檚 鈥淭otentanz,鈥 or 鈥淒ance of the Dead,鈥 virtuosic variations on the 鈥淒ies irae鈥 chant, for piano and orchestra.
