Many activities are slated beginning Monday Aug. 25 to welcome new and returning students.

The events are free with the exception of a Labor Day BBQ, at which cash and meal plans will be accepted.

With sponsors including Spectrum Entertainment, Black Student Union, Campus Life, Karaoke Club, Residence Life, Faculty Student Association, Career Development Office, and Latinos Unidos, the events include:

  • Monday, Aug. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m.: Speed Friendship event in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room. Refreshments will be included.
  • Tuesday, Aug. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m.: Craft Night in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 27 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Ice Cream and Bands in the Blue Lounge in the Williams Center.
  • Thursday, Aug. 28 from 7 to 9 p.m.: Grocery Bingo in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room.
  • Friday, Aug. 29 at 8:30 p.m.: Movie Night with popcorn in the Dods Hall Grove. Bring a blanket to sit on!
  • Saturday, Aug. 30 from 2 to 6 p.m.: A Silent Disco on the Williams Center Patio. Participants listen to music with headphones. Drinks and food will be provided.
  • Sunday, Aug. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m.: Chalk & Talk-os. Chalk on designated sidewalks while enjoying conversation and tacos.
  • Monday, Sept. 1 from 1 to 4 p.m.: Labor Day BBQ on the Williams Center Patio. Cash and meal plans accepted.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m.: Trivia Tuesday with prizes in the Blue Lounge in the Williams Center.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 3 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.: Activities Night in the Dods Hall Grove. A club fair for all Student Association recognized clubs. Also, during the event, the Career Development Office is sponsoring Network on the Go, a mini job fair with local employers.
  • On Wednesday, there will also be a Greek Recruitment meeting sponsored by the Panhellenic Council at 8:30 p.m. in the Williams Center.
  • Thursday, Sept. 4 at 5 p.m.: A First-Year Residential Experience (FYRE) event of volleyball and snow cones behind Chautauqua Hall.
  • Friday, Sept. 5 at 5 p.m.: Carne Asada, an outdoor BBQ, will be hosted on the Williams Center Patio.
  • Saturday, Sept. 6 at 5 p.m.: The Karaoke Club will host its first meeting of the year. Everyone is welcome to join them for singing and to get to know the club.
