Fredonia鈥檚 faculty and staff have produced nearly 40 books in the period between 2012 and 2015. The authors will be honored at a reception on Thursday, April 30, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Japanese Garden area of the Reed Library. All of the books will be available for viewing, and refreshments will be served.
Dr. Birger Vanwesenbeeck of the Department of English and co-author Dr. Mark Gelber will be delivering a brief keynote address at the reception. Their book, "Stefan Zweig and World Literature: Twenty-first Century Perspectives,鈥 is composed of essays that were delivered at a 2009 Zweig Symposium held on campus. Research for many of the papers in the book came from Fredonia's Zweig Collection in Reed Library.
The campus and community are urged to celebrate the accomplishments of Fredonia's faculty and staff at the free event sponsored by the Office of the Provost. Following the reception, the books will be on display until May 19 in the main area of the library near the Reference Desk.
