Communication professor Nefin Dinc will participate in a public screening and discussion of her documentary film, 鈥淭he Other Town,鈥 in Nicosia, Cyprus, on March 21 and 22.
The screening is being held as part of the Association for Historical Dialogue and Research鈥檚 Multiperspectivity and Intercultural Dialogue in Education project. She will be joined by fellow filmmaker Hercules Millas, who worked with her on the project.
The award-winning film explores how prevailing citizen beliefs and government policies in Turkey and Greece can foster prejudices that perpetuate conflict between nations.
Professor Dinc and Millas will also give a public lecture titled, "The image of 鈥楾he Other鈥 in Education," on March 22.
