From arm-chair journeys to the best in family theatre, there are countless memorable moments waiting to unfold at Rockefeller Arts Center this year. Tickets for the Kaleidoscope Family Series, Rockefeller Pops Series, and the World Travel Series are available at the SUNY Fredonia Ticket Office at 716-673-3501 (1-866-441-4928).

 The World Travel Series:

  • MEiffel Toweronty Brown: 鈥淟aBelle France,鈥 Saturday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m., King Concert Hall. Travel through five regions of historic France with noted travel filmmaker Monty Brown. Visit Normandy and its famous beaches. Take in all the sights of Paris. Travel to Vendee on the Atlantic coast, with its ancient ruins and canals. Stop in Poitou, with the Valley of the Frescoes, Medieval music and jousting. The journey ends in Provence, home to Roman monuments, Lipizzan horses and, believe it or not, a country music festival.  
  • John Wilson: 鈥淚nside the Tuscan Hills,鈥 Saturday, Jan. 24 at 7:30 p.m., King Concert Hall. Originally filmed as a PBS documentary travelogue, Inside the Tuscan Hills presents a vivid portrait of a place where ancient traditions have never disappeared and gives an insider鈥檚 look at the rich rural culture of Tuscany. With exclusive access to the workshops, kitchens and homes of the Tuscan people, the film is a journey into one of the world鈥檚 most beautiful places.  
  • Charlie Hartman: 鈥淩te. 66, Part II: The Romance of the Road,鈥 Saturday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m., King Concert Hall. Discover the romance of the road when filmmaker Charles Hartman takes you for another journey down one of America鈥檚 legendary highways 鈥 Route 66. Established in 1926, Route 66 originally ran almost 2,500 miles taking travelers between Chicago and Los Angeles via Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. It became one of the most travelled roadways in the U.S. See all the sights on the road that was known as 鈥淭he Main Street of America鈥 in its heyday.

The Kaleidoscope Family Series:

  • The FoolzThe Foolz (Masters of Mayhem): 鈥淎 February Festival of Fun,鈥 Friday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m., Marvel Theatre. Get ready, because The Foolz (Masters of Mayhem) are coming to unleash a fast-paced barrage of theater, music, comedy, plate spinning and juggling! Veterans of film, television, radio and the stage, The Foolz 鈥 Woody Keppel and Henrik Bothe 鈥 have performed for audiences on six continents. Recently featured at HBO鈥檚 Comedy Festival with Jon Stewart and Penn & Teller, The Foolz鈥檚 high-tech optical illusion 鈥淣eonman鈥 never fails to amaze audiences. They visit Rockefeller Arts Center for a show sponsored by Pucci鈥檚 Carpet One Furniture and Bedding.  
  • DuffleBag Theatre: 鈥淏eauty and the Beast,鈥 Friday, March 13 at 7 p.m., Marvel Theatre. Since 1992, the 鈥淣early World Famous鈥 DuffleBag Theatre has become one of the most celebrated companies in North America. The DuffleBag actors begin performances with the retelling of original adaptations of classic fairytales. Just when the audience becomes enthralled by the story, a twist is created! Audience members are asked to come up on stage and join in the action for a fun-filled, interactive theater experience. The show is sponsored by Mark and Michelle Twichell.

DFT Communications Pops Series

  • The Four Freshmen鈥淐hristmas with The Four Freshmen,鈥 Friday, Dec. 12 at 8 p.m. Now in their 60th year of performance, The Four Freshmen continue to bring their unique brand of vocal harmony to audiences worldwide. The names and faces have changed a few times along the road, but the legendary sound continues with classic tunes like 鈥淚t鈥檚 a Blue World,鈥 鈥淢ood Indigo,鈥 鈥淒ay by Day鈥 and 鈥淕raduation Day.鈥 Join us for a very special holiday concert, sponsored by Mazany Office Interiors/The Shred Center, featuring the group recently named 鈥淰ocal Group of the Year鈥 by readers of Down Beat magazine. 
  • Commencement Eve Pops: 鈥淏ernstein on Broadway,鈥 Friday, May 15 at 8 p.m. Sponsored by The Fredonia and Silver Creek Penny Savers, this is one of the year鈥檚 most anticipated entertainment events. Accompanied by the Western New York Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Glen Cortese, some of SUNY Fredonia鈥檚 best vocal students will perform works from four musicals by legendary American composer Leonard Bernstein. With tunes from Candide, Wonderful Town, On the Town and West Side Story, it鈥檚 a concert you won鈥檛 want to miss.
