International Food DaySUNY Fredonia will celebrate International Food Day on Oct. 24 with a series of events open to the campus and community. Sponsored by the Sustainability Committee and the Fredonia Student Association (FSA), a variety of film clips and presentations will be accompanied by a special menu of light refreshments made from local and sustainable foods.

"Changing What We Eat One School at a Time:"
noon to 1:30 p.m., Williams Center Room S204

  • Clips from Nourish, followed by a brief presentation by Professor Michael Jabot on local school garden projects
  • Presentation by Shauna Beckstein and Erik Danielsson on the Real Food Challenge
  • Presentation by FSA Dining Services Director Mike Proffer on SUNY Fredonia鈥檚 local and sustainable food purchases and commitments


"Global Food Waste, Hunger and Solutions:"
