SUNY Fredonia鈥檚 Latino Unidos, a student group that celebrates the various heritages found within the region's Latino community, will host its annual 鈥淟a Fiesta鈥 on Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room. La Fiesta is a semi-formal dinner dance where traditional Hispanic dishes will be served. All students, faculty and staff, and general public are invited to attend this family friendly event. Tickets are on sale now at the SUNY Fredonia ticket office. Tickets are $3 for students with a school ID and $5 for the general public.

This year鈥檚 La Fiesta revolves around the theme "90 Miles to Havana" and will include a short presentation on the history of Cuba鈥檚 Revolution and the stories behind the Peter Pan Children who were separated from their families and forced to move from Cuba to Florida.

As part of the University鈥檚 Days of Service, the student organizers of La Fiesta ask that participants bring a breakfast food item to be donated for Operation Breakfast Rescue in conjunction with the Office of Volunteer & Community Services.
