Recently, the Office of Residence Life sent 11 Resident Assistants and three Residence Directors to the 2017 Residence Life Conference held at SUNY Cortland.
Attendees included Kristen Brignone, Adrienne Sader, Briana Ott, Patrick Hart, Nyle Higgs, Patrick Toscano, Danielle Kelly, April Lorenzi, Jason Wilkie, Kerri Williamson, Travis Le Fevre, Tommy Linares, Kaylee Eaton and Justin Gennaro. Seven students were also selected to present during the educational sessions. Ms. Brignone and Ms. Ott鈥檚 presentation titled 鈥淪eeing is Not Always Believing鈥, discussed invisible physical illnesses and how to work with students who have them. Mr. Toscano, Ms. Linares and Mr. Wilkie鈥檚 presentation, 鈥淪ituations Lab,鈥 was a discussion based presentation about the different ways each school handles different judicial situations and incidents. And Ms. Williamson and Ms. Kelly presented 鈥淭he New eRA of Clubs鈥 that showcased our Resident Assistant Advisory Board (RAAB) and the events we put on pertaining to professional development, community service and raising awareness.
The conference was an opportunity for the Residence Life staff to connect with staff at other colleges/universities and bring back information and ideas to Fredonia's Office of Residence Life.
