On Monday, Feb. 28, SUNY Fredonia School of Music will present the spring semester Faculty Showcase at 8 p.m. in Rosch Recital Hall.

The yearly concert features performances of three compositions by talented Fredonia music faculty. “Stones Unturned,” by Tiffany Nicely will be performed by pianist Shinobu Takagi, and “Thorne Room Preludes” by Rob Deemer will be performed by pianist Jonathan Mann; as well as the premiere performance of, “One Morning in Venice,” written and performed by classical guitar professor, James Piorkowski.

The evening also includes the performance of six French pieces. The first is “Caprice, Op. 24 No. 3” by piano professor Jonathan Mann, featuring oboe professor Mark DuBois. Also, a Beethoven trio will be performed featuring Marlene Witnauer, flute; Mark DuBois, oboe, and Amrom Chodos, clarinet.

Lastly, the jazz ensemble will perform a piece led by Bruce Johnstone.

The concert is free and open to the public.
