Eight of SUNY Fredonia鈥檚 best student vocalists will help bring the 2009 Commencement Eve pops concert, Bernstein on Broadway, to life on Friday, May 15 at 8 p.m. in King Concert Hall. More about the concert program>>

Selected through auditions held in March, this year鈥檚 cast includes:

Chelsea Grace Claiser, a Musical Theatre major and Dance minor. Her credits include 鈥淐hildren of Eden鈥 (Eve), 鈥淭he Credeaux Canvas鈥 (Tess), Fredonia Dance Ensemble 2007, 鈥淭he Bear鈥 (Popova), 鈥淭rying鈥 (Sarah), 鈥淰ictor/Victoria鈥 (Flower Lady), 鈥淚nto the Woods鈥 (Stepmother), 鈥淢arat/Sade鈥 (Simonne), 鈥淯rinetown鈥 (Soupy Sue) and 鈥淩omeo and Juliet鈥 (Benvolio).

Rick Doetterl, a double major in Musical Theatre and Dance. His credits include dancer/soloist (Fredonia Dance Ensemble), 鈥淯rinetown鈥 (Senator Fipp), 鈥淰ictor/Victoria鈥 (Carroll Todd), 鈥淭he Rocky Horror Show鈥 (Brad Majors), 鈥淧ippin鈥 (Ensemble), 鈥淏ye Bye Birdie鈥 (Albert), 鈥淎nything Goes鈥 (Sir Evelyn Oakleigh) and 鈥淪ongs for a new world鈥 (Man 2).

Crystal Gramkee, a senior Musical Theatre major with a minor in Dance. Her credits include 鈥淯rinetown鈥 (Hope), 鈥淩omeo and Juliet鈥 (Tybalt), 鈥淩ocky Horror鈥 (Columbia), 鈥淰ictor Victoria鈥 (Simone/Ensemble), 鈥淎 Christmas Carol鈥 (Narrator), 鈥淩osencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead鈥 (Tragedian) and the Fredonia Dance Ensemble (2008 and 2009).

Kate Mulberry, a senior Musical Theatre major with a minor in Dance. She has been seen in numerous productions at SUNY Fredonia including 鈥淯rinetown鈥 (Pennywise), 鈥淢arat/Sade鈥 (Asylum Patient), 鈥淐abaret鈥 (Sally Bowles), 鈥淭he Rocky Horror Show鈥 (Phantom), 鈥淧roof鈥 (Claire), 鈥淭he Complete Works of William Shakespeare [Abridged]鈥 (Player), the Orchesis in-the-round mini-concert and several one-act plays. She also performed for two years with The Fredonia Dance Ensemble as a dancer and an understudy.

Mark Andrew Reeve, a junior Musical Theatre major from Syracuse. His credits include 鈥淩omeo and Juliet鈥 (Paris), 鈥淯rinetown鈥 (Bobby Strong), 鈥淢arat/Sade鈥 (Duperret), 鈥淐abaret鈥 (Clifford Bradshaw), 鈥淭artuffe鈥 (Damis), 鈥淭he Book of Liz鈥 (Yvonne/ Bro. Hesikiah) and 鈥淕odspell鈥 (John the Baptist). Reeve has also performed with the Theatrical Combat Association, Orchesis Dance Company and has been seen in various one-act plays.

Amy E. Shake, a senior Vocal Performance major from Clifton Park. During her time at Fredonia she has appeared with the Hillman Opera Company in its production of Mozart鈥檚 鈥淭he Magic Flute鈥 as the Queen of the Night. Her other roles include Donna Anna in scenes from Mozart鈥檚 鈥淒on Giovanni,鈥 Jack鈥檚 Mother in scenes from Sondheim鈥檚 鈥淚nto the Woods鈥 with the Student Opera Theatre Association and Fiordiligi in scenes from Mozart鈥檚 鈥淐osi Fan Tutte鈥 with the Lyric Arts Italy tour.

Boris Van Druff, a senior Vocal Performance major from Olean. Boris has participated in a variety of choral and operatic works. His credits include 鈥淟ittle Shop of Horrors鈥 (Seymour), 鈥淗ansel and Gretel鈥 (Witch) and 鈥淭he Magic Flute鈥 (Tamino). He has also performed twice in the SOTA Opera Scenes, in 鈥淒ie Fledermaus鈥 (Dr. Blind) and 鈥淒on Giovanni鈥 (Don Ottavio).

Jason Weisinger, a junior Vocal Performance and Music Education double major from Long Island. His credits include 鈥淪treet Scene鈥 (Sam Kaplan) and Mozart鈥檚 鈥淭he Magic Flute鈥 (Second Priest). Prior to attending Fredonia, Mr. Weisinger was a Vocal Jazz Performance major at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.
