Sabrina Castillo Gallusser, founder of听 Momentum, a professional contemporary dance company in Guatemala City, will be on campus this week to teach a piece of her choreography to members of the Fredonia Dance Ensemble, and to offer classes and lectures to the campus community. (See column at right for public events.)

Her visit is sponsored by the Department of Theatre and Dance, an FSA Visiting Artist Grant, the Fredonia Dance Ensemble, and Orchesis student group.

Dr. Castillo Gallusser has choreographed more than 50 works that have been presented throughout Guatemala, the United States, France, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, England, Venezuela and M茅xico.

She is the director and founder of the Institute of Dance and Movement Research, a unit of Universidad Rafael Land铆var in Guatemala City. As a director of the Institute she coordinates projects in community outreach, research, teaching, and the creation and production of choreographic works.

Castillo received an M.Sc. from Rutgers University, with additional graduate studies at UC Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Phenomenology from Universidad Rafael Land铆var.

She is a Certified Movement Analyst from the Laban Institute of Movement Studies Toronto/New York.
