Students graduating with a major or minor in Women鈥檚 and Gender Studies will present summaries of their capstone research projects on Monday April, 29 at 4 p.m. in Williams Center Room S204D. Announced at the event will be the winner of the $450 Jeanette McVicker scholarship.
The Jeanette McVicker Women鈥檚 Studies Scholarship was established to recognize and encourage scholarship鈥攁nd activism informed by scholarly inquiry鈥攊n the area of women鈥檚 studies.
Dr. McVicker began teaching in Fredonia in 1988, and was part of the group of Fredonia faculty, who reinstated the Women鈥檚 Studies Program in 1996.
The event is free and open to students, faculty/staff members, and the public. Light refreshments will be served.
