The Women鈥檚 Studies Program will sponsor the Women Take Aim Film Series this fall, with a series of animated films scheduled to begin on Tuesday, Oct. 25. All films shown will begin at 6:30 p.m. and presented in the Diers Recital Hall.

Films will include:

Tuesday, Oct. 25:

  • 鈥淏elly鈥, 鈥淢y First Crush鈥 and 鈥淗oward鈥 directed by Julia Pott. Pott a London born and raised animator, recently obtained her Masters of Arts in Animation from Royal College in London. She has produced animations for Toyota and J.Crew and has been featured in numerous publications.

Wednesday, Oct. 26:

  • 鈥淓milia鈥, 鈥淭uesday鈥 and 鈥淕od Knows鈥 will be screened by Asa Arnehed, a Swedish animator.

  • 鈥淧rickle Britches鈥 and 鈥淏ludren鈥 will also be shown by SUNY Fredonia Professor, Jill Johnston. Johnston is an Assistant Professor of Animation and Illustration, and her eleven independent films, including seven animations, have screened at international festivals across the world.
